Isavuconazol
Abstract
Zusammenfassung. Isavuconazol ist ein neues Triazol zur Behandlung der invasiven Aspergillose und Mukormykose. Es besitzt eine breite antimykotische Aktivität u. a. gegen viele Candida, Aspergillus und Mucorales spezies (spp.). Der vorliegende Beitrag fasst die bisherigen Erkenntnisse zur Pharmakologie, antimykotische Aktivität und klinischen Wirksamkeit zusammen und gibt einen Ausblick auf zukünftige Einsatzgebiete in der Schweiz.
Abstract. Isavuconazole is a new broad-spectrum triazole with activity against various yeasts, molds and dimorphic fungi, predictable pharmacokinetics, and is available in both intravenous and oral formulation. Recent clinical trials have demonstrated comparable efficacy to voriconazol in the treatment of invasive aspergillosis and to amphotericin B and posaconazole in the treatment of invasive mucormycosis. In addition, isavuconazole appears to have fewer side effects and drug-drug interactions compared to voriconazole, and is administered once-daily. We review current evidence and discuss future treatment indications.
