Abstract
We provide an overview of studies on emotion processing capacities in Alzheimer's disease patients and discuss possibilities to use these resources for therapeutic intervention. On the basis of the presented findings, we also discuss how existing therapies for Alzheimer patients already take advantage of their preserved emotion processing capacities. The paper closes with recommendations for research and practice.
