Entwicklung und Validierung eines Inventars zur Messung von Vertrauenswürdigkeit im Sport
Abstract
Zusammenfassung. Vertrauen ist eine entscheidende Komponente innerhalb des Breiten- und Spitzensports mit kognitiver, emotionaler, und verhaltensbezogener Relevanz, die sich auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen (Mikro-, Meso-, Makro-Ebene) manifestiert. Zahlreiche sportrelevante Themen legen einen Zusammenhang zu Vertrauen nahe (z. B. Doping oder Wettmanipulation). Auch kann angenommen werden, dass die Vertrauenswürdigkeit eines Athleten, eines Trainers oder eines Sportverbands Einfluss in interpersonalen Beziehungen im Sport hat. Das psychologische Konzept des Vertrauens hat aber bislang im Sportkontext nur geringe Beachtung gefunden. Mit der vorliegenden Studie soll die Adaption und Validierung eines aus dem organisationalen Kontext stammenden Fragebogens zur Erfassung von Vertrauenswürdigkeit im Sport vorgestellt werden. Der 15 Items umfassende Fragebogen besteht aus drei Subskalen, welche die Antezedenzien von Vertrauen, Fähigkeit, Wohlwollen und Integrität abbilden. Eine konfirmatorische Faktorenanalyse bestätigt die angenommene Struktur. Der Fragebogen erweist sich als valide, konsistent und ökonomisch durchführbar. Er stellt damit einen wichtigen Schritt zur Erforschung des Themenfelds Vertrauenswürdigkeit im Sportkontext dar.
Abstract. Trust is a crucial component in mass and high-performance sports, which encompasses cognitive, emotional, and behavioral relevance and is manifested on diverse levels (micro, meso, and macro levels). Numerous sport-related topics are related to trust (e. g., doping or betting frauds). It can be expected that the trustworthiness of an athlete, a coach, or a sport federation has an impact on the interpersonal relationships within sports. To date, the psychological construct of trust has received little attention in sport. The present study introduces the adaption and validation of a trustworthiness measure from an organizational context to the setting of sports. The measure includes 15 items on three subscales, which describe the antecedents of trustworthiness: ability, benevolence, and integrity. A confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the assumed structure of the three antecedents. The measure was found to be valid, consistent, and practicable. It is thus an important step in the investigation of the constitution of trustworthiness in sports.
