Eine Kurzform des Prüfungsängstlichkeitsinventars TAI-G
Abstract
In this study the psychometric properties and the factor structure of the German Test Anxiety Inventory TAI-G (Hodapp, 1991) were tested in a sample of 720 students from different courses. The known factor structure of the questionnaire with the four subscales Emotionality, Worry, Lack of Confidence and Interference could be replicated showing high internal consistency for both the TAI-G and the four subscales. Based on item- and scale-analysis we recommend a short form of the scale with 15 items. This short form holds a clearer factor structure than the original version and has no double loadings. It is highly internally consistent and correlates at r = .98 with the original version of the TAI-G. In addition, significant relationships between the short form and socio-demographic variables (age, gender) correspond to the patterns identified by test anxiety research, which documents the validity of the scale.
