Les médecins ressentent souvent les interactions avec les personnes migrantes comme un défi. Les difficultés décrites sont en grande partie les mêmes qu'ils ont avec les patients suisses, mais sont cependant renforcées par des facteurs qui sont associés avec la migration. Ce travail décrit divers problèmes de l'interaction médecin-patient dans le contexte de la migration: la compréhension difficile entre le médecin et les patients ainsi que les conditions-cadre structurelles. Ce travail présente des solutions concrètes pour la pratique quotidienne.

Ärzte erleben die Interaktion mit Migranten oft als besonders herausfordernd. Die Schwierigkeiten, die sie beschreiben, sind zu einem grossen Teil die gleichen, die sie auch bei Schweizer Patientinnen erleben – allerdings häufig verstärkt durch Faktoren, die mit der Migrationssituation zusammenhängen. In diesem Artikel werden verschiedene Problemfelder der Arzt-Patienten-Interaktion im Migrationskontext unterschieden: erschwerte Verständigung, geringes gegenseitiges Bezugswissen von Ärzten und Patienten sowie strukturelle Rahmenbedingungen. Diese Problembereiche werden diskutiert und es werden konkrete Lösungsanregungen für die Praxis formuliert.

Doctors are often challenged by their interaction with migrants. The difficulties they describe are essentially the same as the ones they experience with Swiss patients. However, these encounters are frequently encumbered by factors relating to the migrant's situation. This article will delineate the various problem areas of doctor-patient interactions in the context of migration: difficulties understanding one another lack of mutual reference points between doctors and patients and structural frameworks. These problem areas will be discussed and concrete solutions and practical recommendations will be outlined.
