CME: Candidurie und Candida-Infektionen der Harnwege
Abstract
Zusammenfassung. Candidurie ist bei hospitalisierten Menschen häufig und im allgemeinen gutartig. Eine invasive Infektion der Niere ist ungewöhnlich und schwierig zu behandeln. Die überwiegende Mehrheit der Pilzinfektionen der Niere und Blase wird durch Candida spp. (hauptsächlich C. albicans) verursacht. Im Rahmen von disseminierten Infektionen können jedoch auch weitere Pilzgattungen die Nieren befallen.
Abstract. Candiduria is common in hospitalized patients and is generally benign. Invasive infection of the kidney is unusual and is difficult to treat. The vast majority of fungal infections of the kidneys and bladder result from Candida albicans and other Candida species. A variety of other fungi can sometimes involve the kidneys as a result of disseminated infection.
