Indizierte Prävention von Essstörungen:
Eine Pilotstudie zu einem ambulanten Gruppenprogramm
Abstract
Abstract. Behavioural precursors of eating disorders such as a restrictive eating style or a strong concern about weight and shape have become increasingly more common in girls and young women. A broad consensus exists that approaches to the secondary prevention of eating disorders are called for and are of high health-related relevance. Thus, the authors of this brief report developed a group program for secondary prevention of eating disorders. The program is designed for young women with subclinical forms of eating disorders. The program consists of 10 weekly sessions, each of 90 minute duration and is conducted in an ambulatory setting. Topics for the program were developed considering the risk and protective factors of eating disorders that are discussed in the literature so far. The program consists of four blocks of topics: (1) Cognitive interventions about the slender beauty ideal, (2) Healthy eating and eating disorders, (3) Body-image and (4) Conflict-/Stressmanagement. The content of the program as well as some preliminary results of a pilot study will be described and discussed.
