    Published Online:https://doi.org/10.1027/1864-9335/a000315

    Proposal Deadline: October 15, 2017

The editorial team of Social Psychology invites proposals for a special issue of the journal to appear in early 2019.

Previous special issues focused on the topics of “Replications of Important Results in Social Psychology” (2014), guest-edited by Brian Nosek and Daniel Lakens, and “Measure of a Man: Outcomes of Gender Stereotyping for Men and Masculinity” (2015), guest-edited by Corinne Moss-Racusin and Jessica Good.

    Timeline and Submission

We encourage potential Guest Editors to submit a proposal to our editorial office by October 15, 2017:

On the basis of a comparative assessment, the editorial board will then select one proposal as the special issue for 2019 by the end of November, 2017. The special issue is aimed to appear in early 2019.

Proposals should contain the following information:

    • Name(s) and correspondence details of potential Guest Editor(s),
    • Proposed title of the special issue,
    • A short description of covered topic(s), including an appraisal of potential readers’ interest in the topic (700 words maximum),
    • An indication of research teams, labs, or individual authors who may potentially submit manuscripts for the special issue.

The special issue, once commissioned, is expected to have an open call for submissions. Editors are free to encourage potential authors to submit a manuscript. All manuscripts are to be submitted via the online submission system: www.editorialmanager.com/sopsy. Papers will undergo the standard peer-review process.

On behalf of the editorial team,
