    IMPORATNT: The organisation committee concluded that – due to travel situation – it is safer to organise the conference not in the UK, but in Italy. The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, Europe Chapter, is organized to serve the needs of the human factors profession in Europe. Its purpose is to promote and advance through the interchange of knowledge and methodology in the behavioral, biological, and physical sciences, the understanding of the human factors involved in, and the application of that understanding to the design, acquisition, and use of hardware, software, and personnel aspects of tools, devices, machines, equipment, computers, vehicles, systems, and artificial environments of all kinds. The Chapter is an affiliate of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, Inc., a nonprofit corporation chartered by the State of California, USA, and organizes scientific meetings every year.

    Course: Initial Human Factors in Flight Safety

    EAAP is very happy that this course is going ahead, now planned to be held on-site in Barcelona, hosted by Vueling Airlines.

    The 5-day training course will be delivered by the experienced team of Brent Hayward and Alan Hobbs, together with special guest presenter, clinical and health psychologist Catarina Cunha.

    The course will be conducted in a COVID-safe manner.

    Completion of this course is recognised by EAAP as contributing towards the requirements for accreditation as an Aviation Psychologist or Human Factors Specialist.

    International Conference on Cognitive Aircraft Systems

    Following the great success of ICCAS Virtual-2021, this year's aim is to promote the dissemination and exchange of scientific information on the next generation of civil and military aircraft. It provides an excellent forum for combining academic research and industrial works to examine how we can develop intelligent aircraft systems owning more freedom of choice, sensitivity to the context, learning capabilities, and able to interact naturally with the pilots or the operators while saving their mental and physical resources.

    This conference invites research experts and industry practitioners from multidisciplinary backgrounds. It includes invited speakers, and works’ presentation via abstract submissions and selection with an international scientific committee.

    2022 MIT STAMP Workshop

    STAMP is a new accident causality model based on systems theory and systems thinking that addresses critical challenges in system engineering, safety, and cybersecurity such as complex software, human-decision making and human factors, new technology, social and organizational design, and safety culture. STPA is a powerful new hazard/cybersecurity analysis technique based on STAMP while CAST is the equivalent for accident/incident analysis. These tools are now used globally in almost every industry.

    The STAMP Workshop provides an opportunity for practitioners to share their applications and experiences using these analysis techniques. The STAMP Workshop will include free tutorials so everyone can participate, regardless of experience with STAMP or the STAMP-based analysis techniques.

    15th IFAC Human-Machine Systems Symposium

    The objective of the symposium is to provide an international forum for the latest scientific and technological achievements in Human-Machine Systems research and Human Factors. The role of the human is important in a wide-range of applications in the domains of intelligent and autonomous systems, autonomous driving, urban air mobility, robotics, virtual reality, and healthcare, requiring advanced solutions for efficient and safe human-machine interaction. The symposium aims to bring together researchers in the field and provide opportunities to exchange ideas and results and develop a vision for future research.

    Hybrid Conference Mode: At the current time, a hybrid conference mode will be offered to participants via our dedicated conference virtual platform to increase flexibility. The conference organizers are monitoring the public health situation closely. Any updates to the conference mode will be shared via the conference website in a timely manner.

    1st International Conference in Aerospace Medicine

    ICAM 2022 will be the first international forum to bring together civilian and military specialists involved in Aerospace Medicine, airlines medical operations, repatriation, and occupational health. The Scientific Committee is preparing an exciting program. This meeting was originally postponed to September 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has now been postponed to September 2022 to ensure the pandemic is under control and restrictions on international travel and large group gatherings have been removed. This conference is under the auspices and joint sponsorship of: The Aerospace Medical Association – AsMA, The International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine – IAASM, The European Society of Aerospace Medicine – ESAM, and La Société Francophone de Médecine Aérospatiale – SOFRAMAS.
