Spätfolgen von Kindheitstraumata

Abstract

Zusammenfassung. Kindheitstraumata beziehen sich auf belastende Ereignisse, die vor dem Eintritt der Volljährigkeit stattgefunden haben. In den Studien werden in der Regel erinnerte Kindheitsbelastungen untersucht, die eine Vielzahl von Langzeitfolgen aufweisen. Besonders häufig treten Erscheinungsformen einer emotionalen Dysregulation und problematische Selbstregulation auf (z.B. aggressiv-dissoziales Verhalten, gestörtes Essverhalten, Substanzmissbrauch). Das Thema häusliche Gewalt erfordert eine besondere Beachtung, da die Auswirkungen auf die Familie insgesamt und über die Generationsfolge enorm ausfallen. Die Beschäftigung mit diesem Thema erfolgt seit mehr als 20 Jahren in den USA und seit einem Jahrzehnt im deutschsprachigen Raum.


Long-term Consequences of Childhood Trauma

Abstract. Childhood trauma refers to aversive experiences during childhood and adolescents. Most studies have investigated retrospective reports of childhood trauma in the past considering the various long-term consequences of such experiences. Long-term consequences of childhood trauma include emotion dysregulation and problematic self-regulation (e.g., aggressive behavior, eating disorders, alcohol and drug misuse). Specifically, the impact of family violence needs to be considered with caution. Family violence has a crucial influence on the family in general and through transgenerational transmission. Childhood trauma has been a relevant topic for the past 20 years in the USA and for the last decade in the German-speaking countries.
