Soziale Kompetenz und Circumplexmodell interpersonalen Verhaltens

Abstract

Zusammenfassung: Die Konstrukte soziale Kompetenz und Circumplexmodell interpersonalen Verhaltens wurden - trotz inhaltlicher Nähe und konzeptioneller Überschneidungen - weitestgehend unabhängig voneinander entwickelt. Dementsprechend fehlen empirische Untersuchungen zu ihren Zusammenhängen. Mit der vorliegenden Studie werden erstmals solche Zusammenhänge überprüft. Die Konstrukte wurden operationalisiert durch den Unsicherheitsfragebogen (UF; Ullrich & Ullrich, 1977) bzw. das Inventar Interpersonaler Probleme (IIP; Horowitz, Strauß & Kordy, 1994) und untersucht an einer gemischten Stichprobe aus psychisch gestörten und klinisch unauffälligen Probanden. Erwartungsgemäß ergeben sich sehr hohe Korrelationen zwischen einzelnen Skalen des UF mit denen des IIP. Insgesamt besteht eine hohe gemeinsame Varianz zwischen beiden Fragebögen, das IIP läßt sich aber nicht durch den konzeptionell weniger aufwendigen UF ersetzen.


Social Competence and Circumplex Model of Interpersonal Behaviors - On the Connections Between the Two Constructs

Summary: The constructs of social competence and circumplex structure of interpersonal problems were developed independently to a large extent, even though there are many overlaps. The present study is the first to empirically test correlations between these constructs. The Unassertiveness Questionnaire (Unsicherheitsfragebogen, UF; Ullrich & Ullrich, 1977) and the German version of the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems (IIP; Horowitz, Strauß & Kordy, 1994) were administered to a group of persons with and without mental disorders. According to our hypotheses, several scales of the UF show very high correlations with scales of the IIP. Although a high percentage of common variance was found between the two questionnaires, the IIP cannot be replaced by the UF which has less presumptions.
