Arbeitsgedächtnis und Versprecher

Zusammenfassung: In drei Experimenten wurde geprüft, ob die Phonologische Schleife an der Entstehung von Sprechfehlern (Spoonerismen) beteiligt ist. Die Experimente bedienten sich der SLIP-Technik zur Erzeugung von Spoonerismen. Variiert wurde in allen Experimenten der zeitliche Abstand der Induktoren von den mit ihnen phonologisch interferierenden und auszusprechenden Zielwortpaaren. Experiment 1 zeigt das erwartete Resultat: Ein phonologischer Primingeffekt ist nur nachweisbar, wenn die Primes innerhalb von zwei Sekunden vor dem Zielwortpaar dargeboten werden. Diese Ergebnisstruktur zeigte sich auch unter den Bedingungen “irrelevante Sprache” (Experiment 2) und “artikulatorische Unterdrückung” (Experiment 3). Das Ergebnis des dritten Experiments ist unter Zugrundelegung der Arbeitsgedächtnistheorie von Baddeley unerwartet.


Working memory and speech errors

Summary: Three experiments examined whether speech errors (spoonerisms) are in part determined by the phonological loop. The SLIP Technique was applied in these experiments to induce spoonerisms. The time interval between the presentation of the inductors and the targets was manipulated in all three experiments. The inductors interfered phonologically with the targets which were required to be pronounced. The first experiment, as expected, yielded the following result: A phonological priming could only be observed when the inductors were presented not more than two seconds before the presentation of the target words. This result was replicated in the irrelevant speech condition (Experiment 2) and in the articulatory suppression condition (Experiment 3). With respect to Baddeleyïs theory of working memory, the result of the third experiment was not expected.
