Abstract
Zusammenfassung. In dem Beitrag werden Ziele und Vorgehensweisen von Präventionsansätzen diskutiert, wobei eine Unterscheidung in universelle, selektive und indizierte Prävention erfolgt. Als längerfristig angelegtes Vorgehen wird das FAST-Track-Programm erläutert. Des Weiteren werden allgemeine Prinzipien für wirksame Präventionsansätze formuliert und die Wirksamkeit von präventiven Elterntrainings kritisch diskutiert.
Abstract. This editorial presents the aims and aproaches to prevention differentiating between universal, selective, and indicated interventions. As an example for a long-term preventive intervention the FAST-Track-Program is shown. In addition, general principles of effective prevention and the efficacy of preventive parent trainings are discussed.
