Fragebogen zur direkten Partizipation im Büro (FdP-B)
Ergebnisse zur Reliabilität und Validität
Abstract
Abstract. In this article a questionnaire on direct participation in the office (FdP-B) is presented. It measures the subjectively perceived direct participation of employees and associated wishes for change in 7 areas of the daily office work environment. Examined factors are: work task, working materials, workplace, work contract, work time, human resources development, and organizational development. In a sample of N = 1 354 employees from ten different lines of business, satisfactory reliabilities and item characteristics were found. Furthermore, the correlations expected in the questionnaire's validation between direct participation and work satisfaction, different workload factors, strain, commitment, leadership behavior, helplessness, and resignation thoughts were also found. Hypotheses concerning job involvement, employment relationship, education, position in the enterprise, and weekly working time were confirmed in general. Thus, a solid instrument for employee surveys to examine the participation culture in enterprises is now available. Its results may help identify fields of action for the improvement of work environments.
