Psychometrische Überprüfung einer deutschsprachigen Fassung des Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) von Porter und Smith (1970)
Abstract
Abstract. The aim of this study was to explore the psychometric properties and validity of the German version of the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ). Participants were 1021 individuals with university degrees. They had been employed for an average of 1.9 years at the time of the study. In addition to the OCQ, further work-related attitudes (job satisfaction and job involvement), perceptions of job characteristics (e.g., control at work), the organization (i.e., amount of goal-fit), the individual importance of work (career vs. leisure-time orientation), and intention to leave were assessed. A confirmatory factor analysis indicated a better fit for the one-factor model of the OCQ in comparison to two-factor models. The discriminant validity of the OCQ was confirmed by distinguishing it with a CFA from the other work-related attitudes, and all work related attitudes showed unique correlations to the other variables.
