Abstract

Der Beitrag geht auf die Erscheinungsformen und Prävalenz sozialer Ängste und sozialer Unsicherheit ein. Neue Ergebnisse und ein Entwicklungsmodell zur Beschreibung der sozialen Angst werden dargestellt. Von besonderer Bedeutung sind verhaltenstherapeutische Programme zur Prävention und Behandlung sozialer Ängste/sozialer Unsicherheit. Die Effektivität solcher Ansätze wird diskutiert und auf die Vorzüge einer kognitiven Gruppenverhaltenstherapie eingegangen.


Social anxiety / social unassertiveness

The paper examines forms and prevalence of social anxiety and social unassertiveness. New results and a developmental model of social anxiety are presented. Behavior therapy programs are of special importance in the prevention and treatment of social anxiety/social unassertiveness. The effectiveness of such approaches is discussed and advantages of cognitive-behavioral group treatment are illustrated.
